Description

The Turnpike Trust Mile Marker, dated 1837, is a cast iron structure that has been limewashed with raised lettering painted black. It has a V-shaped design and features a coved top, standing approximately 1 metre high. The marker displays the date and the words 'BRISTOL TURNPIKE TRUST' down the center spine, with 'TO BRISTOL 12' on the left side and 'TO CROSS 4' on the right side.
