Description

This is a milepost dated 1837, located at Rooks Bridge on the Bristol Road in East Brent. It is made of cast iron and has a V-shaped design with a hipped top. The center panel features raised lettering that reads "Bristol Turnpike Trust" on the south side, "To Cross 4" on the north side, and "To Bridgwater 12" on the opposite side.
