Description
The gates, gate piers, and lamp overthrow to the Church of St John the Baptist were created by Johnson Bros of Pall Mall in the mid-19th century. They are made of wrought and cast iron. The design features a pair of octagonal piers topped with caps that support a lamp overthrow, which includes a small central lamp. The main gate is railed and has a scroll bracket at each end of its spiked top rail, with a small pedestrian gate on the left side that matches the overall style.
