Description

This is an early 19th-century detached house, with a later addition to the rear. The exterior is limewashed with incised render, and the roof is slate. The south front has three windows, and is two stories high. The ground-floor windows are 20-pane sashes, while the upper-floor windows are 18-pane sashes. A central two-leaf French window, a 20th-century replacement for the original door, is located in the centre of the south front. The windows have stepped voussoirs at their heads, rusticated end pilasters, and two string courses below bracketed eaves. The soffit of the eaves features lozenge and roundel decoration. Rendered stacks are at each end. The west facade includes an open ironwork verandah without a canopy, and a two-story canted bay window to the later rear addition. Simple spearhead ironwork railings surround the property, with a two-leaf drive gate. The gate piers have anthemion finials. The house was formerly known as Greystones.
