Description
Richmond House is a detached house built around 1750, with an early 19th-century addition. It features colourwashed render and slate roofs, and has an L-shaped plan with an 18th-century range on the right and an early 19th-century wing on the left. The south front has two storeys and five windows, all of which are 12-pane sashes. The end bay of the 18th-century range has two pairs of these sashes. There are offset 20th-century French windows on the right side in a former door opening, along with a wrought iron porch that has a tented canopy. The left-hand wing has two plain pilasters. A three-light dormer is located on the right side, and there are two rendered end stacks. The doorway on the east front features a part-glazed early 19th-century door beneath a tent canopy supported by slim wrought iron brackets.
