Description

The Turnpike Trust Parish Boundary Marker, dated 1823, is a Grade II listed structure located on the south side of Langford Road in Lower Langford, Churchill civil parish. This marker is made of cast iron, painted white with raised lettering in black. It has a V-shaped design with concave sides and a rounded top, standing at 1 metre high. The marker features the date and the words 'BRISTOL TURNPIKE TRUST' down the centre spine, with 'BURRIN'N P.H.' on the left side and 'CHURCH'L P.H.' on the right side. It is set into a rubble stone wall that bridges over the boundary brook.
