Description

The Turnpike Trust Marker, dated 1837, is a cast iron structure painted white with raised black lettering. It stands 1 metre high and has a V shape with a coved top. The marker is inscribed with 'BRISTOL TURNPIKE TRUST' down the center spine, with 'TO BRISTOL 5' on the left side and 'TO CROSS 11' on the right side.
