Description
Veronica Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, built in the early 19th century with a later 19th-century extension. The building is constructed from roughly coursed granite rubble, with larger blocks used for the extension. The main range has a gabled slate roof, while the extension features a scantled slate roof. There are rendered ridge and end stacks. The layout consists of a 2-unit central-staircase plan, with a separate entrance to the one-unit extension that has a left-hand staircase leading to the right. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-window range. Granite lintels are present over two 20th-century doors, and there are late 19th-century horned 2/2-pane sash windows, along with a 2-light casement window on the first floor to the right and a small window above the central door of the main range. The interior was remodelled in the 20th century. This farmhouse has been adapted for an extended family unit and is also associated with its brewhouse.
