Description
The Church of All Saints is a church built in 1742, rebuilt in 1821-22, renovated in 1860-61, with alterations made in 1897-98 and a new roof added in 1930. It is constructed from roughly coursed granite rubble and features slate roofs. The church has a rectangular single-cell plan with a narrowed sanctuary end and a southwest tower.
The east gable has a cross at the apex and a pair of chamfered lancet windows. The two bay side walls contain keyed semi-circular arched windows, while the west gable shows a line of an earlier roof pitch. There is a lean-to porch at the west end, which has a keyed semi-circular arch over plank double doors. The two-stage tower features square-headed louvred belfry windows that break a raised course below the eaves, topped by a pyramidal roof with an apex cross. Inside, there is a king-post roof.
Notable interior features include an altar rail with decorative wrought-iron brackets, Gothic-style choir stalls, a chancel rail, benches, and a polygonal pulpit, all adorned with blind and open trefoil and quatrefoil panels. The plain granite font is dated 1861, and there are brass oil lamps and late 19th-century stained glass windows.
