Description
No. 50 Spring Street is a house, likely from the 18th century, which originally had a shop that is now used as a store on the north side. The building features walls that are partly brick and partly plastered, topped with a thatched roof and a brick chimney. It has two storeys. The entrance includes a panelled door set in a timber porch with a slate gabled roof. On the ground floor, there are two modern casement windows, while the first floor has three similar casements and one blocked window. In the former shop area, the ground floor retains an old shop window and a ledged door. A carved medieval corbel head can be found in this wall, resembling those in No. 49. Additionally, one ground floor room features an 18th-century fireplace surround, although it is partly obscured by later interior modifications.
