Description
No. 2 Radipole Lane is a house from the early 19th century, part of a small group of buildings. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a concrete tile roof. The house features a symmetrical central staircase plan, is gable-end facing the road, and looks out over the valley of the River Wey. It has two storeys and three windows, which are 16-pane sashes set in flush boxes with wooden sills, topped by a tripartite stone lintel with a key. The central window on the first floor is blind but has a 12-pane sash painted in. The entrance consists of a 19th-century five-panel door with a painted-over fanlight, which is set beneath a flush stone arch. There is a small brick chimney stack on the right gable and a larger rendered stack on the left. The left gable also features a 6-pane casement window in a rendered plat surround with a wide stone tripartite lintel and key, above a 5-panel part-glazed 19th-century door with a good radial fanlight in a flush stone surround. The plinth of the house meets the pavement on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
