Description
No. 104 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some later alterations. It is constructed of red brick, featuring some yellow bricks in a Flemish bond pattern, and has a Welsh-slate roof with brick dogtooth eaves and an end stack on the right side.
The building has two storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range. On the first floor, there are two 8/8 sash windows flanking a blocked central window that is painted to resemble a 6/6 sash. All windows have reveals, painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. The ground floor features a 24-pane fixed shallow bay window on the right, a central six-panel door beneath a blocked fanlight set in a gauged-brick round-arched surround, which is accessed by two steps. To the left, there is a carriage entrance with a gauged-brick segmental arch, stone imposts, and plank double doors. A shallow painted brick plinth with a cellar grille is located on the right side. The interior has not been inspected.
