Description
No. 27 Priest Lane is a house located at the end of a row, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a renewed plain tile roof that sweeps at the eaves. The front has a painted eaves cornice with brick dentils, while the returns have brick dogtooth eaves. There is an external brick stack at the left end with tiled offsets.
The house has three storeys and a three-window range. The first floor has horned 2/2 sash windows with shallow painted channelled voussoirs and sills. The second floor features 3/3 sash windows with painted sills. On the ground floor, there is an inserted multi-pane bow window on the left and a renewed doorcase on the right, which includes a leaded pediment, fluted pilasters, and a 20th-century door. The rear has a catslide roof over a partly 20th-century extension. The interior has not been inspected.
