Description
No. 136 High Street is a house that likely dates from the early 17th century and has undergone significant alterations since then. The exterior is roughcast with a Welsh-slate roof featuring brick stacks at both ends and one along the ridge. The building has two storeys and a three-window arrangement. On the first floor, there are two triple 4:4:4-pane casements flanking a central 4-pane casement, all of which have shallow sills. The ground floor features a metal 6:6-pane casement in the center, a remodelled 6:6-pane casement on the right, and a plain doorcase on the right with a renewed panelled door and three steps made of stone and brick. There is also a doorway on the left with a cambered head and a plank door, along with a deep plinth. The interior has not been inspected, but it is reported to contain a cruck frame.
