Description
No. 103A on High Street is a house dating from the 16th century, with later alterations. The ground floor is made of replacement red brick in Flemish bond, set on a stone plinth, while the first floor features close-studded timber-framing with rendered infill. The roof is a renewed plain tile with a steep pitch and includes a gabled dormer.
The building is two storeys high with an attic and has one wide bay. The dormer contains a 2-light casement window. The first floor is jettied and has one 3/6 sash window with a painted sill. On the ground floor, there is a 2/2 sash window with a sill to the left of a 20th-century plank door, which is framed simply and accessed by three stone steps. The plinth of coursed squared stone continues from that of No. 105. Some timber-framing is visible in the right gable. The interior has not been inspected.
