Description

No. 40 North Street is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of stone rubble, which was likely intended to be rendered. It features a slated roof that is hipped to the right, with a chimney that is just visible behind the center of the ridge. The building has three storeys and is two windows wide, with a doorway situated between the ground-storey windows. To the left of the doorway, there is a large blocked opening that has been partially filled with a three-light late 20th-century wood casement window. The remaining ground-storey window and both second-storey windows are fitted with late 20th-century six-paned sashes in box frames. The third storey has two-light wood casements, each with two panes per light.
