Description

No. 44 North Street is a house from the early 19th century located in Ashburton. It features rendered walls, with the front likely being timber-framed and designed to imitate masonry. The roof is slated and hipped to the left, and there is a stone rubble chimney on the right gable wall. The building has three storeys and is one window wide, with a doorway situated to the left of the ground-storey window. The ground and second storeys have 6-paned sash windows, while the second storey also includes 2-paned side-sashes. The third storey has 3-light wood casements, each with three panes per light. On the left side facing Stapledon Lane, there are two similar 2-light casements in the third storey.
