Description
This is a house located at 28 Stapledon Lane, possibly dating from the 18th century or earlier. The ground floor is constructed of stone rubble, while the upper storey is hung with slate and is likely timber-framed. The right side wall is roughcast, probably also timber-framed. The roof is slated and gabled towards the street, featuring a large rendered chimney at the rear of the ridge. The building has three storeys and is one window wide. The windows are wood casements with small panes, comprising three lights on the ground floor and two above, the upper windows having transom-lights. The house has plain bargeboards and an entrance located in a small lean-to porch on the right, which contains a four-panelled door and a dormer window.
