Description
Kingswood Farm House is an early 18th-century farmhouse that was enlarged later in the 18th century. It features rubble stone walls, some of which are plastered, and has a stone slate roof with brick stacks along the ridge. The building has a T-shaped plan and consists of one storey and an attic. There is a single-storey porch with a lean-to roof located at the angle of the house, which includes a ledged door and one casement window with horizontal glazing bars.
The range facing the road was extended to the right in the late 18th century, and this section was likely originally an outbuilding. On the ground floor of this range, there is one casement window with horizontal glazing bars, while the attic features a flat-roofed dormer with a metal casement. In the end gable wall, stone steps lead up to a ledged door, which has a louvred opening above it. There is also an extension at a lower level at the rear of this wing, constructed in a matching style.
At the left end of the building, there is a projecting wing that has one 20th-century casement window on the ground floor and a pent-roofed half-dormer in the attic, which contains casements with glazing bars. The front boundary wall is made of stone and has a flat capping.
