3/83 Kingswood Farm House including front boundary wall 20-11-59 - II
Farmhouse. Early C18, enlarged later in C18. Rubble stone walls, part plastered. Stone slate roof, brick stacks on ridge. T-shaped plan. One storey and attic. Single-storey porch with lean-to roof in angle, with ledged door and one casement window with horizontal glazing bars. Range facing road extended to right in late C18 - this part probably originally an outbuilding. In this range, ground floor has one casement window with horizontal glazing bars. Attic has one flat-roofed dormer with metal casement. In end gable wall, stone steps lead up to a ledged door, with louvred opening over. Extension at lower level at rear of this wing, in matching construction. Projecting wing at left end has, on ground floor, one C20 casement window. Pent-roofed ½-dormer in attic, with casements with glazing bars. Front boundary wall of stone, with flat capping. RCHM Monument 24 (Dorset Vol. II).
