Description
Castlewood Farmhouse, also known as New House Farm House, is a farmhouse that has been divided into two houses. It dates from around the 18th century and features 19th-century extensions. The building is constructed of stone rubble, with the extensions at the north and south ends having red brick dressings. It has a slate roof with hipped ends and is a long, two-storey structure with a seven-window range. The windows include two-light casements and sashes with glazing bars. The left-hand three bays project and have a hipped roof. There is a flush panel door on the west side, which is topped by a tented hood. The farmhouse also has brick ridge and end chimney stacks.
