Description

May House is an early 19th century ashlar house. It has rusticated quoins, and a bitumenised slate roof with stone coping to the gable ends. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features sash windows with glazing bars, set under flat stone arches. The central doorway is round-arched, with a semi-circular fanlight and a glazed and panelled door. An iron lattice porch with a round arched canopy is situated at the doorway. Twin rendered chimney stacks are present at the gable ends. This building has group value from its contribution to the streetscape.
