Description

Crossways is a house dating from around the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick, with a rendered gable, and has a slate roof with gabled ends. A string course runs along the first-floor level. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a flat brick arch with a keystone. The central doorcase has panelled reveals, and a later 19th-century tented slate canopy is supported by brackets over the door, which itself has a glazed porch. Brick chimney stacks are located at the gable ends.
