Description
Ricketts Farm House is a detached house, likely originating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with a stone stack located at the left end. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of one storey and an attic. A 20th-century stone porch with a gabled roof leads to a 20th-century oak ledged door. The front wall is buttressed, and the ground floor includes two 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars set under brick arches. The attic has two pent-roofed dormers, each with similar casements. At the right end, there is a single-storey extension with an added pergola, and the entrance is located in this gable wall. The interior has been altered but still retains two original open fireplaces with timber lintels, one of which has been modified. Some ceiling beams are chamfered. It is noted that this is not the house referred to as Ricketts Farm in the original Supplementary List.
