Description
The Cottage, also known as Old Inn Cottage, is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It features plastered walls with external timber bracing and a hipped thatched roof, along with a brick stack positioned to the right of the center. The building has a lobby entrance plan and consists of one storey with an attic. The entrance includes a ledged door with a glass panel, set within a thatched porch.
On the ground floor, there are three 20th-century casement windows with diamond lead lights. The attic is illuminated by three dormers, which also have similar casements. Inside, the cottage showcases deep chamfered exposed ceiling beams. Notably, on the first floor, there is a chimney breast featuring 17th-century ornamental raised plasterwork that depicts a lion and unicorn flanking a fleur de lys.
