Description
Pixie's Holt is a detached house that was originally a farmhouse and is now partly used as a tea room. It dates back to the 17th century and features timber framed walls that are plastered on the outside, with a thatched roof and a brick stack located to the left of the center. The building has a lobby entrance plan and consists of one storey and an attic.
The ground floor includes a 20th-century oak ledged door set in a glazed porch, along with three 20th-century casement windows featuring lead lights. There is also a small casement window with glazing bars located under the eaves. The attic has one dormer window with 20th-century casements and lead lights. At the rear, there is a lean-to structure covered by a thatched catslide roof.
Inside, the timber frame appears to be intact, showcasing deep chamfered and stopped beams along with the roof structure. There is a heavy plank and muntin partition on the ground floor, as well as some timber framed partitions. A large open fireplace on the ground floor features a curved timber lintel, and on the first floor, there is a small cupboard that has been inserted into the side of the chimney.
