Description

Broomdown is a cottage with an attached barn located in Broomhill, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The cottage features brick walls, likely a facing on cob, while the barn has plastered cob walls. It has a thatched roof that is hipped at the left end, with brick stacks at each end of the cottage. The cottage is one storey with an attic and includes a glazed conservatory on the front wall. The entrance has a part glazed panelled door, and the ground floor has one casement window with horizontal glazing bars, with the possibility of another window concealed by plant growth. The attic contains two dormers with casement windows featuring glazing bars. The barn has a ledged door and the property is largely unaltered.
