Description
The range of farm buildings immediately southwest of Petersham Farm House dates from the mid-18th century. This structure forms three sides of a courtyard and features brick walls with tiled roofs. The coach house, located on the east side facing the house, has a half-hipped roof and a brick stack positioned to the right of center. It is one storey high with an attic and includes a large depressed four-centred arched opening on the ground floor, along with two windows—one part shuttered and the other fitted with a metal casement. There is a ledged loft door beneath a gabled dormer. At the rear, there is a barn that makes up the north range, which has a large cart entrance that has been partially built up and features some vent slits. The west range, used as cowsheds, is at a lower level and includes a series of 20th-century windows. This building is included for its group value.
