Description
Manor View is a house from the early 19th century located on Salisbury Street in Cranborne. It features header-bond brickwork, a half-hipped tiled roof, and end brick stacks. The building has two parallel ranges and is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and attics with three bays. The windows are sashes, with 12 panes on the lower level and 9 panes above, all set under flat brick arches. There are two hipped dormers and a central round-headed doorway that has a rusticated architrave. The entrance includes an 8-panel door with a fanlight above.
Inside, there is an opening between the east vestibule and the west staircase hall that has an elliptical head and a doorcase adorned with fluted pilasters and carton-pierre decoration. The staircase features plain balustrades and scroll step spandrels.
