Description

The Gateway Building Society is a house and premises for the Gateway Building Society and Town and Country Estate Agents, dating from the 18th century. It features stone walls that are rendered and painted, topped with a slate roof, and has no visible stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three sash windows without glazing bars, with wooden frames and cills. To the right, there is a shop window consisting of three lights and two wooden mullions. The façade includes a plain frieze and a moulded cornice. At the center, there is a doorway made of wood with one glass panel, dating from the 20th century, and a bracket is positioned above the door. This building is included for its group value.
