Description
Good Hope Antiques is a house with shop premises dating from the early 19th century. It features stone walls that are rendered and washed, with an exposed stone base. The building has a tile roof and a brick stack on the right side. It stands two storeys high with attics and has three windows. The early 19th-century shop front consists of a sequence of door-window-door-window-door-window arrangements. The wooden mullions include some reeding. The left-hand door is made of wood and is from the 20th century, topped with a marginal rectangular fanlight. The center door is flush-panelled with a marginal glazing-bar light above, along with a rectangular light. The right door is similar but has only a small light above. The building has a moulded cornice with a dentil cornice on the right side. On the first floor, the sashes have glazing-bars and flush wooden frames, all of which have been renewed. There are three dormers featuring 2-light casements with glazing-bars, each with hipped tile roofs and tiled sides.
