Description
4 and 6 Hogshill Street are attached houses that have been converted into shop premises. They date from the early 19th century and feature stone walls that are rendered and washed. The slate roof has stone gable-coping on the left side and a brick stack at the left gable. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and have three windows. The ground floor includes a wide canted shop window on the right with a continuous wooden cornice above, and a flat shop window to the left with two lights. On the first floor, there are sash windows with glazing bars set in flush wooden cases. The roof features two dormers, each with two-light casements that have glazing bars, gabled roofs, and slated sides. There are two doors: a modern wooden door in the centre and a wooden six-panelled door from the 19th century on the left.
