Description

Winton House is a house dating from around 1840. It is built of stone walls, now rendered, and has a slate roof with gable coping, along with a lower, slate-roofed extension to the right. There are two rendered brick stacks, one at the party wall and one at the gable end. The house has two storeys and originally had three windows; the upper floor's central window was tripartite, and all were sashes. A wooden front door, with two long recessed panels, is located on the left-hand side, lacking a pilaster surround. A 20th-century shop front occupies the ground floor, featuring two large glass panels, and a modern glass and hood front door is situated centrally. Wide carriage doors are located at the right-hand end.
