Description

Littlecote is a single villa dating to around 1830, situated on the south side of The Street in Charmouth. The villa has stone walls, which are stuccoed, and a low, pyramidal slate roof. Rendered brick stacks project from the eaves, with two stacks on each side. It is two storeys high, featuring two sash windows with twin glazing bars on each elevation. The front door is on the right-hand side and is located within a porch that adjoins Carram. The door is made of wood with four panels and has original wooden trelliswork. An elliptical-headed trellis door, featuring a lozengy pattern, provides access to the porch. Square cast iron gate piers mark the street frontage, decorated with a running scroll pattern and pineapple finials.
