Description
The Arched House, also known as The Conservative Club, is located at No. 4 Coombe Street and is believed to have an 18th-century core, although it was likely partially rebuilt after 1844. This tall, two-storey building features three window bays and is finished in stucco. The sash windows are three panes wide and set in reveals. There is a round-headed doorway to No. 4 situated between the first and second windows from the left, which has a plain semi-circular fanlight and a four-panelled door. A similar door is found at The Conservative Club. At the rear, the building arches over the river and extends southwards along the west bank of the River Lim. The group includes Nos 1 to 4 (consecutive) and The Conservative Club.
