Description
This is a mid-19th century building on Coombe Street, significantly higher than the adjacent numbers 43 and 45. It is two storeys and an attic, with two window bays. The roof is slate and gabled, and the front is stuccoed. The building features two gabled dormers with bargeboards and finials. The windows are sash windows set in reveals, but without glazing bars. The ground floor contains two shop fronts; the right-hand one features rounded heads over the window lights and a half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight to its right. A segmental-headed doorway is located at the left-hand end, leading to a ledged door within a frame and a rectangular fanlight above. Numbers 42 to 45 (inclusive) and number 47 form a group with the Guildhall and numbers 4, 4A, 5 & 6 Bridge Street, together with number 62 Church Street.
