Description

The building at 1 Coombe Street is a mid-19th century structure, likely dating to the 1840s or 1850s. It is a two-storey and attic building with two window bays. The roof is gabled, featuring one boxed dormer window. The front facade is stuccoed, with sash windows, each containing three panes, set within the reveals. The ground floor features a plate glass shop front on the left-hand side, and a doorway with an architrave frame on the right. The door is four-panelled, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. A passageway runs through the ground floor at the right-hand end, with steps leading down to the River Lim.

A later two-storey block extends to the left, also with two window bays and later 19th-century sash windows above. It has a modern shop front on the ground floor.
