Description

This is a mid-19th century building on Bridge Street, altered in the 19th century. It is three storeys high and has two window bays. The upper floors are fronted with wood shingles. Modern casement windows with small panes are present, with two square bays on the first floor. The ground floor features a modern shop front with a contemporary fascia. A doorway is located at each end, with a ledged door and rectangular fanlight on the left, a flush-panelled door on the right, and a half-glazed shop door in the centre. The building appears in prints from the early to mid-19th century. It is included on the list for group value, forming part of a grouping with numbers 4, 4A, 6 and the Guildhall on Bridge Street, number 62 on Church Street, and numbers 42-47 on Coombe Street.
