Description

Drive Cottage and Gable End are a pair of estate cottages dated 1892. They feature ashlar stone walls and clay-tile roofs with gable ends and stone gable copings. There are stone stacks located at the left-hand gable, the ridge center, and the right-hand gable. The cottages are 1½ and 2 storeys high, with a total of 6 windows. The outer windows are gabled, and the center pair of windows are also gabled. The ground floor windows consist of 6, 4, 4, and 6 lights, while the first floor has 4, 3, 3, 3, 3, and 4 lights. These windows have ovolo-moulded stone mullions, a continuous string over the ground floor, and returned labels above. The windows are fitted with iron casements and lead lights. The entrances, located to the left and right of the center, feature moulded jambs and 4-centred heads. The doors are plank-style, with glazing in the upper half.
