Description
Nos. 81 and 82 on St Mary Street in Weymouth are mid-19th century offices with a shop front. The building is rendered and features low-pitched double slate roofs. It has a tall four-storey façade with six windows arranged in pairs, all of which are sash windows set in plain reveals. The third-floor windows have nine panes and sit on stone sills, while the twelve-pane windows below them are part of a continuous sill band. The first-floor windows are also plain sashes, each with cornices supported by brackets, with the central window being more prominent. The ground floor has a full-width 20th-century shop front that includes a deep fascia reaching up to the first-floor sill level. Above this is a frieze and a moulded cornice, with a slightly raised pediment at the center of each property, featuring drops on either side above the window heads. The interior has not been inspected.
