Description
No. 80 St Mary Street is a mid-19th century building that serves as offices with a shop. The exterior is rendered and features a low-pitched slate roof. It stands four storeys tall and has three windows, all of which are sash windows. The third floor has 12-pane windows set in deep reveals on moulded stone sills supported by brackets. Below, the second floor also has 12-pane windows framed by moulded architraves with a cornice, leading to a full-width sill band. The first floor features plain sash windows, separated by piers and flanked by four unfluted Doric three-quarter columns. This is all topped by a high fascia with a moulded cornice and large modelled consoles, which support a late 20th-century shop front. The building is capped with a plain coped parapet. The left gable wall is slate-hung and has a large chimney stack. The interior has not been inspected.
