Description

No. 78 on St Mary Street is a house with a shop that dates from the early 19th century. The building is rendered and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and features two windows. The second floor has two-storey sash oriels with an arrangement of 8:12:8 panes, topped with a dentil cornice. The first floor has plain oriels above a shop front that includes a 20th-century fascia supported by deep 19th-century consoles. There is an ovolo-mould cornice above the flat roof of the oriels, along with a blocking course and parapet. A stack is located to the right side of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
