Description
No. 31 St Thomas Street is an early 19th-century house that includes a shop. The building is rendered and features a slate mansard roof. It has three storeys and an attic. The second floor has a six-pane sash window above two nine-pane sashes, all set in reveals with stone sills. On the first floor, there is a blind opening and a bowed oriel window with a configuration of eight, twelve, and eight panes, along with a late 20th-century shop front. The exterior also includes a deep first-floor sill band, a moulded cornice, a blocking-course, and a coped parapet, with a prominent stack on the right side. This house was built as part of a pair with No. 30, which has undergone more modifications than this one. The interior has not been inspected.
