Description
No. 10 Market Square is a shop and office that was formerly a dwelling, built in the early 19th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is rendered and has a concealed slate roof. It features a double-depth plan and stands three stories tall with a single window range. The central feature is a three-story canted bay window that includes a shop front with a cellar window at the front, which is protected by an iron grating and has a dentilled cornice on the fascia. There are doors on either side of the bay; the left door is six-panelled and has a moulded wood surround with a straight hood supported by brackets. The first and second floors have 12-pane sash windows, with the front of the bay having doubled windows. A coped parapet at the top conceals the roof.
