Description
17 Market Hill is a shop and store that was formerly a shop and dwelling, likely dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is rendered, possibly over a timber frame, and features a plain-tile roof. It probably originally had a two-unit plan. The structure has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front, while the first floor has 20th-century windows and a central flat-roofed dormer window that contains a three-light casement window. Inside, there is a chamfered spine beam in the first-floor room, and the roof has one tier of purlins.
