Description
20 Market Hill is a shop and dwelling built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is rendered over brick and features a 20th-century plain-tile roof with a brick stack on the left side. It has a double-depth plan and stands three stories tall with a one-window range. The shop front includes a mid to late 19th-century timber canted bay window with a central door and round-headed divisions, a fascia, a moulded cornice, and a small pediment above the door. To the right, there is a four-panel, part-glazed door with a moulded wood surround. The right half of the shop front continues with a full-height, central canted bay window that has 12-pane sashes on the front and sides, along with a moulded wood cornice. There is also a three-storey wing at the rear left.
