Description
This building, located to the rear of Number 18 Market Hill in Buckingham, is an outbuilding or possibly a cottage that has been converted into offices. It likely dates from the 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The structure is timber-framed with brick infill and features a plain-tile roof. It has a single-depth plan and is two stories tall, with a four-window range. The ground floor is made of 19th-century brick, which may have replaced the original front wall that was set further back, below a jettied first floor. The first floor includes a three-light casement window to the left of center and a 12-pane window to the right of center. The timber-framing consists of square and rectangular panels, with a mid-rail at the first floor and one diagonal brace supporting the wall plate on the right.
