Description
Squirrel Cottage and Woodpecker Cottage are two cottages that may have originally been one house. They likely date from the 17th century but were refaced in the 18th century. The cottages have a rendered facade with side walls made of banded flint, rubble, and brick. They feature a thatched, gable-ended roof with brick stacks at both ends and in the center. The buildings are two storeys high and have a total of four windows across the front. On the ground floor, there are four-light recessed bow windows with glazing bars. Above these, there are two- and three-light casements, also with glazing bars. A 20th-century door is located under a thatched porch to the right of the central stack.
