Description

The Old Rectory is a house located in Okeford Fitzpaine, built in the mid-18th century for Reverend Duke Butler. The building is rendered above a rubble plinth and features a tiled roof with stone slate verges and end brick stacks. It has a symmetrical facade with two storeys and five bays. The windows are sashes without glazing bars, with the central upper floor window being a three-light design. The ground floor includes a recessed, part-glazed 20th-century door surrounded by glazing. At the rear, there is a possibly earlier kitchen wing and a mid-19th century extension.
