Description
Benville House is a detached house dating from the 18th century. It features stone walls that are rendered and have rusticated quoins. The roof is thatched with stone gable copings. There is a stone stack on the left-hand gable, positioned to the right of center, and a brick stack on the right-hand gable. The house has two storeys and four windows, which are 2-light wooden casements from the 20th century, with sashes on the east gable wall. The front door, located to the left of center, is wooden and flush-panelled, framed by a wooden doorcase that has half-columns and Roman Doric capitals, topped with a plain entablature featuring a dentil cornice. A rear wing is thatched and has rashes.
