Description
Catsley Farmhouse is a circa 1800 farmhouse with a 17th-century rear wing. It is constructed of stone walls, rendered externally, and has a slate roof, hipped in form. Chimney stacks are located at the left and right hand sides, rising from the hip of the roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has five windows, featuring wooden sashes with stone cills. A rendered porch is situated at the centre, marking the position of the former front door. A round-head window with glazing-bars has been inserted into the front elevation. The current entrance doors are in the east gable wall and the rear wing. The interior of the rear wing showcases 17th-century details, including an open fireplace with stone jambs and a straight-chamfered lintel above. A heavy-chamfered ceiling-beam with run-out stops is also present, along with a flagstone floor.
